Fall 2006 Mentors

Tom Apel

Tom ApelTom Apel currently serves as president of Intrepid Ideas Inc., a product development, technology evaluation and business strategy consulting firm for financial services and real estate finance companies. He also is a fellow with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the advanced study program currently focused on business model taxonomy and IT portfolio strategies.

Previously, Apel was president and CEO of Centex Title and Ancillary Services, responsible for national title, escrow and insurance operations.


William Paiva

William PaivaWilliam Paiva has 20 years of management consulting, biomedical, and venture capital experience.

Prior to joining Chisholm Private Capital, he was a management consultant at Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath, which provided business strategy and operational process consulting services to large pharmaceutical companies. He previously worked as an investment banking associate at JP Morgan.

 

Tony Say

Tony SayTony Say is the president of Clearwater Enterprises/Ventura Refining and Transmission LLC.

His most recent project was resurrecting an old crude oil refinery in Thomas, Okla., which is expected to create 30-40 jobs with an annual payroll of approximately $1.5 million and help alleviate tight supply of refined products. Under the plan, the 14,000-barrel-per-day refinery will be the county’s first new or restored refinery to become operational in nearly two decades.
