David J. Arthur
David J. Arthur is CEO of SouthWest NanoTechnologies Inc. His more than 25 years experience commercializing products utilizing advanced materials includes work at such companies as Rogers Corporation, A.T. Cross Co., Composite Solutions, Helix Technologies, and Eikos.
Arthur holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Tufts University, master of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Connecticut and a master of business administration degree from Northeastern University. His research interests include the synthesis of nanomaterials and the fabrication of nanoscale features at a large scale. He has strong technical and market knowledge in the field of carbon nanotubes.
Bill Aven
Bill Aven is a serial entrepreneur who has started the transition to Angel financing and mentoring of the up and coming generation of entrepreneurs. Aven's professional background includes progression of assignments with companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 to start-up. He has worked in medical, consumer products, software and energy industries, identifying opportunities and technologies to improve existing conditions.
Well versed in Intellectual Property, product development, and marketing, he brings a productive mindset to the tasks at hand and hopes to contribute to the success of the CCEW mission.
Mr. Aven received a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and a Master of Engineering and MBA from Dartmouth College.
Rod Foster
Rod Foster, President of RSF Development, has over 34 years of experience in manufacturing and research. His experience includes various positions with Baxter Healthcare including Senior Manufacturing Director, Plant Manager for Medical Instrumentation, Director of Research and Development and Operations Manager. He also was VP of Operations for Kinark Corporation and held various positions with Procter and Gamble.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters of Management from Northwestern University.
Chris Meazell
Chris Meazell leads the Norman office of Dow Lohnes PLLC, a national law firm representing businesses in some of the most significant industries in the global economy, including media, communications, telecommunications, higher education, information technology and sports and entertainment. Mr. Meazell's practice focuses on supporting these industries in planning, strategic and litigation matters.
Mr. Meazell's experience with intellectual property includes patent protection, licensing and litigation as well as trademark, copyright, trade secret and associated unfair competition issues. Mr. Meazell is also skilled in government relations, regulatory, First Amendment, commercial contract, and general business matters. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
