"CCEW has helped me to improve the way I do research by helping me think about innovation, business, and entrepreneurship."

~ Mary John O'Hair

CCEW Inventors

As authors of selected pieces of Oklahoma's intellectual property, inventors are crucial participants of the CCEW internship experience.

They provide scholarly and technical mentoring which is paramount for the success of a commercialization project.

Participation

Inventors' participation begins with "Boot Camp" at the beginning of each semester and ends with a final presentation at the end of the semester.

The Inventor Role

Inventors routinely participate in team meetings, address questions via email or conference call, and participate in two progress reviews, which occur approximately every five weeks leading up to the final presentation. In this way, faculty and researchers who participate in the program are able to lend their technical and intellectual expertise to the intern team to clarify difficult issues concerning the commercialization process of their technology.
