Spring 2007 Internship Class
Mentors were... Inventors were... Technologies/Projects were...
Intern List
The singular motivation behind my interest in the CCEW internship is passion. I have an unrelenting passion for turning vision into reality. My overwhelming interest and eager curiosity in science, technology and business is what drives me to excel in these areas.
The CCEW internship fits in very well with my professional goals in life. I want to learn more about how all engineering works and then I want to move into the business side of it, marketing new ideas and better ways of doing things, and possibly starting my own company.
I believe in the purpose of the CCEW program: Generating economic growth and entrepreneurial opportunities in Oklahoma. The CCEW internship program is an opportunity for me to gain valuable business knowledge while working toward goals I truly want to see achieved.
Being a part of CCEW will be an amazing experience that will benefit my future goals and interests greatly. Being a CCEW intern will go a long way in determining what exactly I want to do with my future.
Serving as an intern in this burgeoning and revolutionary program offers me a unique learning experience and leadership opportunities found nowhere else on campus, and perhaps nowhere else in the state.
As I look to finish my law education and begin a career, I can think of no better place to be than Oklahoma, for I have already experienced the benefits of this shift toward a brain-powered economy. I wish to be a CCEW intern because the knowledge and training it provides are focused on the very areas in which I seek to pursue a career and will prepare me to play a role in leading the state into a new and exciting era.
The opportunity to gain insight into the complex intersection of academic ideas and their real-world application is the main reason for my desire to be a CCEW intern. By helping to bring to market the ideas generated from pure academic thought, this intern position will enhance my understanding of the relationship between academics and the business world.
The opportunity to be a CCEW intern greatly excites me because I am thoroughly interested in learning about the methods of developing ideas into products that sell. The experience of this internship will help me establish, apply and do in the real world what I have been learning in the classroom.
I believe this internship will allow me to further advance my skills and knowledge in entrepreneurial areas and be involved with the emergence of new technology. I love getting involved, especially when an organization can make a difference, as I believe this one can.
After graduation, I plan to get an MBA and then join an up-and-coming entrepreneurial-minded company or starting my own. Nothing compares to the preparation provided by real-world personal experiences, which the CCEW internship gives me. Students enter the program with fresh ideas and enthusiasm and leave with the drive and passion to use their training and knowledge for the benefit of the community, state and even the entire world.
The CCEW program’s combination of technology, entrepreneurship and team-based project development precisely mirrors what I want to do as a professional. I cannot imagine a program better matched to my goals.
